In this workshop you will learn Gua Sha Healing Techniques. Gua Sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a Gua Sha instrument to improve your circulation, reduce inflammation, address adhered soft tissue, help break up and release stagnant energy.

Course Prerequisites

A background in Reiki, massage, reflexology or other bodywork is recommended but a strong desire to learn is all that is required.

Course Outline

• Part 1: (9am - 11am) background, history, theory, benefits, indications, contraindications
  
• Break: (11am - 11:15am)
  
• Part 2: (11:15am - 12:15pm) choosing an instrument, various techniques, demo, application, self-practice
  
• Lunch: (12:15pm - 12:45pm)
  
• Part 3: (12:45pm - 2:45pm) additional treatment options/methods, practice, exchange with partner
  
• Break: (2:45pm - 3pm)
  
• Part 4: (3pm - 5pm) proper sanitation/sterilization methods, how to avoid cross-contamination, additional techniques, exchange with partner, clean-up, certificate presentation
